Privacy policy

TextPal (Windows app)
- Text you select — sent, encrypted in transit, to Anthropic's Claude via our backend only when you press the shortcut. Never stored on our servers, never used to train models.
- Pet photos — resized on your machine, sent once for analysis, never stored anywhere.
- License + usage — your license key (or an anonymous machine fingerprint for the free trial) and a monthly usage counter, kept on our backend to enforce fair-use limits. No names, no file contents, no browsing data.
- Purchases — handled by Lemon Squeezy (payment details never touch our servers).
What we collect
- Recipient context you choose to share — the LinkedIn URL or about text you paste into Coldsage. Sent to Anthropic via our backend Worker to generate openers. NOT logged on our side.
- Subscription identity — an ExtensionPay api_key (anonymous; stored in your browser's chrome.storage.sync). Used only to verify you're a paid subscriber.
- Anonymous crash reports — when the extension hits an unhandled error, a per-install random clientId (NOT a user identifier) and the error message + stack are sent to our Worker. Rate-limited to 5 reports per 5 minutes per install.
What we don't collect
- Your email address (unless you contact us via hello@coldsage.dev)
- The contents of emails you send (we only see what you actively submit via the popup; the full message body is never read)
- Your browsing history, location, or web activity
- Recipient lists, contact databases, or any prospect data you haven't actively submitted to the popup
- The text of openers you generate (these live in your browser only; we never log request bodies on our side)
Third parties
- Anthropic — receives recipient context you submit, to generate openers. Their privacy policy.
- ExtensionPay + Stripe — receives payment information if you subscribe. We never see card details. ExtensionPay's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosts our Worker backend. Standard request logs (IP, user-agent) per Cloudflare's policy.
